Mission Bhumiputra - Assam SC, ST, OBC Certificate Online Apply Portal : The Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Mission Bhumiputra portal on Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati. The mission has been launched under the Department of Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes. Under this mission, applicants will be able to submit their applications for caste certificate through the web portal.

Application For : Under this mission, eligible applicants can submit their application for the following caste certificates.
• Scheduled Caste Certificate
• Scheduled Tribe (Plains) Certificate
• Scheduled Tribe (Hills) Certificate
• OBC/MOBC Certificate

Eligibility Criteria of Mission Bhumiputra
Nationality : Applicants must be an Indian Citizen.
Domicile : Applicants must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Caste : Applicants must belong to SC, ST and OBC/MOBC.
How to Apply for Caste Certificate?
Applicants who come under the above mentioned caste and willing to submit their caste certificate application must visit the official web portal to submit the application. A permanent resident of Assam will be able to submit his/her application for the caste certificate of Assam. Applicants can follow the following steps to complete their caste certificate application process.
• Scroll down, Check the Important Links Section.
• Click on Mission Bhumiputra Apply Link.
• Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
• In that Portal, you will need to click on New Account option.
• After that a registration form will load.
• In that form, you have to give all the information asked.
• Now, you have to click on Register button.
• After successful registration, Click on Login option.
• Now, a login form will load. Where you need to enter your Username and Password to login.
• After successful login, you will have to click on New Application option.
• Now, an application form will load.
• In that form, you have to give all your information carefully.
• After that you have to upload your required scanned files.
• Finally, you will get the option to submit your application.
• Before submitting application, read all details carefully and submit.
• After successful submission, you will receive on acknowledgement copy.
• Keep a copy of that acknowledgement for future use.

"Eligible class IX - XII students will now be able to download SC/ST/OBC Certificates from http://bhumiputra.assam.gov.in" - CM Himanta Biswa Sarma remarked.
Besides the applicants will be issued the certificates digitally signed by respective Deputy Commissioners (DCs), who will be assisted by official bodies of different castes in identifying/approving the caste of students. It is not linked to NRC or Legacy Data.

Documents to be Uploaded with Mission Bhumiputra Form
Applicants will have to make ready the following documents or files before proceeding for the application process of caste certificate because these documents will need to uploaded on the portal to complete the online application process.
